Description

Carboguard 893 SG by Carboline is a versatile 2-component zinc phosphate epoxy coating designed to provide corrosion resistance and protection for steel and concrete substrates in water and wastewater industries. With its ready-to-apply formulation and economical fit, it serves as a primer, intermediate coat, or self-priming finish over steel and zinc primers. The coating is available in a variety of rapid tint colors and offers an attractive low sheen for tank exteriors. Carboguard 893 SG can be used with Carboline glass flake additive to enhance performance, including internal strength, hardness, impact, and abrasion resistance. It is VOC compliant and can be topcoated with a broad variety of high-performance finish coats. The optional low temperature (LT) cure allows for application in temperatures as low as 35°F (1.7°C), making it suitable for various environmental conditions.
